Saturdays practice started with rain in the morning and showers on midday, but in the afternoon the sun came, and the track started to dry up. Steen Graversen showed he was the man to beat. A couple of tenths from his laptimes, came Pelle Martin. Søren Boy Holst, Xray, had a super driving car, but needed some power on the long nitro straights.

Sunday morning the drivers registered the 6 control tyres (Euros tyres) and started the qualifying, in perfect weather.
Steen was without any doubts the fastest car on the track, with Pelle Martin on second place, followed by a group of other drivers. Søren had been very unlucky by getting a set of bad tyres, so the car was really loose in all corners, and extreme difficult to drive, the power on the straights had been improved though. – Even with these big problems, Søren managed to qualify fifth, for the A final.

Results after qualifying:
1. Steen Graversen
2. Pelle Martin
3. Michael Præst – XRAY
4. Martin Ring
5. Søren Boy Holst – XRAY
6. Lars A Jensen – XRAY

7. Johan Eskildsen
8. Caspar Morgen

For the finals Søren changed the two rear tyres, with the two extra tyres (from another batch) and now the car was completely different! So much grip in the rear end, that the car couldn’t hardly steer. Steen left the field with amazing speed, with Pelle on second place. Søren drove his way through the field and could finish on a comfortable third place.
Some changes were made to the car before the next final, to get more steering, but it still wasn’t enough to drive really fast.

Once again we saw Steen on first place, followed by Pelle. Søren had to fight for third place, but with success. It was impossible to catch Pelle and Steen after loosing some time in the fight, so Søren decided to save power and drive home another third.

Last final should be very exciting, since the second place was still possible to get in theory. Steen made his only mistake this week-end, on the opening lap, as he hit a curb and tumbled into the grass. This gave Pelle a comfortable lead, since Søren once again had to fight due to the bad starting position. – Steen was flying through the field, and after some time he reached the rear end of Søren’s Xray. Søren made a clever move, and let Steen pass right away, with hope that he could catch Pelle in front. He did, so now Pelle had to defend his position and lost time.

Søren started to catch up, and on the very last corner on last lap, Søren made a clean pass inside Pelle, finishing 0,1 sec ahead. Unfortunately Steen won the final, so the result didn’t have any effect on the total result.

Total result of the 2. round:
1. Steen Graversen
2. Pelle Martin
3. Søren Boy Holst – XRAY
4. Lars A Jensen – XRAY

5. Martin Ring
6. Michael Præst – XRAY
7. Caspar Morgen
8. Johan Eskildsen

Next race will be Nordic Championships on the Euros track in Glostrup.
